The Jörniverse is based in a small village called Jörn in Västerbotten. We are around 800 km north of Stockholm & a 50-min bus ride from the nearest city, Skellefteå. Jörn is small & humble, but there is a Coop grocery shop, pharmacy, a fast-food truck, a gym, and a nearby skiing resort.

Jörn also has a train station (around 10 mins walk from The Jörniverse), and you can take a direct night train from Stockholm to get here. It’s a long trip but an experience with all the sights along the way. On the train, you can choose private rooms, shared sleeping bunks, or a seat - we’d recommend bringing an eye mask, camping pillow & a blanket if choosing the seat option to maximise your potential of getting some rest.

Another option is flying, with the closest airport being Skellefteå. There are always flights from Stockholm, but it’s also possible & often cheaper to fly in from several international airports throughout the year, like Gdańsk, Crete, Gran Canaria, and Croatia. For details, check the airport’s website. You can then reach Jörn from Skellefteå airport by bus. Other nearby airports include Luleå and Umeå.
